HOW² Te Ako Charitable Trust regularly hosts workshops and group activities focused on promoting education, health, and wellbeing, while also fostering a strong sense of community.

HOW² Learning Programme

Learning Community Hub (Ministry of Education)

The community Learning Hub is series of workshops designed to help communities resettling in Aotearoa learn about the education system here. Facilitated by guests from various organisations (including the Ministry of Education), parents have an opportunity to better understand how their children learn in the New Zealand context and how they can support their young ones.

Session 7 - Health and Wellbeing Discover practical tips to support your mental and physical well-being for a healthier, balanced life, improving focus and performance while at school.

RIMA NeuroNetworks

RIMA NeuroNetworks is designed specifically for neurodiverse children aged 5-10 and their families. This group provides a fun, inclusive space where kids can enhance their social skills through a blend of structured and unstructured activities. Led by volunteer parents who understand the journey, this is a great opportunity for both children and parents to connect, interact, and share ideas.

  • Fun, engaging activities tailored for neurodivergent children.
  • A safe and understanding environment for kids to connect and grow.
  • A chance for parents to network, exchange experiences, and support one another.

Picnic Day

Join us for a special day of fun and connection at the Aged to Perfection Picnic! It's a wonderful opportunity for our elderly community to stay active, enjoy the outdoors, and spend time with friends. Take in the sunshine, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy the company of those around you.

A part of the HOW² Aged to Perfection Series. Sewing and knitting bring joy, creativity, and can improve the overall health of our elderly community. Making a scarf, quilt, or pillow helps both mind and body while building confidence in using a sewing machine. Feel free to bring your own fabric or use ours. Experience with using a sewing machine is preferred.
