Join Ora Konnect for Te Kawau Herenga Waka Matariki Kai Festival, a free whānau event celebrating Te Tau Hou Māori through kai, culture and connection.
Held at Highbury Whānau Centre / Monrad Park, the festival brings the community together for an afternoon of shared food, cultural celebration and practical learning. Whānau can enjoy free kai from a range of cultural market stalls, connect with local community services and take part in hands-on demonstrations that support kai sovereignty and whānau wellbeing.
This is a welcoming event for the whole whānau, with plenty to see, do and enjoy.
